Hello & Welcome!

I’m Janna . . . a Canadian girl who’s learning to live loved, fighting for joy, and intentionally re-orienting her life around the One who holds all things together.

This is my family.  In February 2013 we moved from Alberta to Uganda and are presently serving at Restoration Gateway.  We welcomed our fourth child, Selah Shalom, on August 31st, 2013, and learned four weeks later that she was born with ASD and VSD – two holes in her heart.  She went to her Heavenly Father on October 4th, 2013.  In the wake of Selah’s death I have been surprised by Him . . . surprised by His peace and tenderness . . . and I love Him more than ever.

THE MARRIAGE

We’ve been given each other… we’ve chosen each other… and all we’ve invested in each other has paid off big time. Dave shows me God-grace every single day and I am more and more in love with the glory of Jesus in Him.  In this for life.

THE KIDDOS

My first pregnancy was ectopic . . . a few years ago we named him or her “Justice” after God’s heart for the oppressed. Hudson is our firstborn – 7 years old, creative like his daddy, & wears his heart on his sleeve.  Hope, at 5, has a deeply compassionate heart and amazes me with her ability to battle lies and tell herself the truth.  We’ve been blessed for 3 years with Liberty, our sweet and tender-hearted firecracker.  Selah waits for us in heaven . . . our darling we got to hold for 34 days.
